THE BRIEF

To enrich InDesign documents and use them with the PressRun solutions, users must follow a few conventions. In order to ease this process, the PressRun solution was in need of a tool that could check for potential issues within the document before publishing, fix these issues automatically and help convert these elements to HTML5 before upload files to the PressRun Cloud solution. As PressRun is a high-quality product and thus the tool in need should reflect the high-end quality of the solution itself.

THE ANSWER

We chose to develop a Flex/AS3 extension for InDesign*. Extensions are ideal for companies such as PressRun. They are easy to install, behave like native panels and can be deeply skinned. We also skinned the interface based on PressRun mockups while sharing ergonomic concerns*.

THE RESULT

The panel we developed offers all the expected functionalities and runs smoothly within Adobe InDesign. Every checking, fixing and support features are now accessible from a simple click. Our technology therefore helped to optimize the PressRun workflow and boosts the solution in a highly competitive digital publishing market.
